Sociocultural Learning of Youth in Mobile Societies
The massive flow of refugee populations to Europe brings to the foreground the complex and intricate issue of inclusion, and consequently the crucial issue of addressing the growing social phenomena of violent radicalization and racism. In this context, education is one of the main tools of including moving populations and managing the increasing radicalism. Project’s priority is to strongly encourage the cooperation among education and training institutions, local communities, local and regional administrations, social workers and specialists in the field of youth, volunteers and civil society in general to enhance inclusion of moving populations, to build a positive identity and strengthen their sense of belonging to a community.
Through Multilingualism Feasts young people gain access to rights, autonomy, participation and active citizenship. The proposed sociocultural model of learning fosters stronger participation of all young people in democratic and civic life in Europe; broaden and deepen their political and social participation at local, regional, national, European or global level. The intercultural approach promotes inter-religious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights; strengthens their sense of initiative notably in the social field; enable young people to connect with, express their opinions to and influence elected policy-makers, public administrations, interest groups, civil society organisations, or individual citizens within any of the political or social processes affecting their lives.
Participatory learning pathways, youth policy, and languages of evaluation

The focus of the conference is on participatory learning pathways, which are emerging at social intercultural events where young people used to get involved. Socio-cultural events are considered as possible non-formal and informal learning spaces and pathways providing intercultural and intergenerational opportunities for conversation, critical thinking, and cultivation of soft skills, which are necessary for a sustainable and resilient life. Furthermore, the discussion of the development of recognition tools and various practices or “languages” of evaluation of the learning outcomes of these events are of equal importance. Moreover, considering the already existing research experience about learning within socio-cultural events, proposals relating to the improvement and enrichment of youth policy are a key area of the conference.
The conference will be celebrated online from the delegates’ homelands.
